The Patient Navigator, Outreach & Chronic Disease Prevention Act of 2005 signed by President Bush on June 29, 2005 will provide patients with an advocate at their side to help them navigate today's complicated health care system. Patient Advocate Group was formed to assist patients to overcome barriers within the healthcare system and to resolve private and public insurance issues for "Seniors, families, employers, doctor's offices, etc.

 Do You Have Breast or Cervical Cancer?
       
In October 24, 2000, the Breast & Cervical Cancer Prevention & Treatment  Act of 2000 - Public Law 106-354 was signed into law. This Act, which has an effective date of October
               1, 2000, gives states the option to provide     
                   medical assistance thru Medicaid to 
                                    eligible women. 
                                             
              
         Medicaid for Breast & Cervical Cancer (MBCC) is a special
   program for qualifying low-income women with certain breast or
   cervical cancer diagnoses. The program offers eligible women   
   the opportunity to receive low or no cost services throughout
   your state. Today, almost every state offers this program. You
   can call the Mediciad help line in your state for the phone
   number of your state office which handles this needed program.
